Panchakarma - Oldest treatment for whole body detox​

Panchakarma is a combination of five procedures of purification- Vamana (Emesis), Virechana (Purgation), Niroohavasti (Decoction enema), Nasya (instillation of medicine through nostrils), and Anuvasanavasti (Oil enema). These procedures aim at plucking away the deep rooted imbalances in the body.

KERALA PANCHAKARMA THERAPY

Panchakarma therapy is beneficial for healthy people to maintain and improve their cellular function.

Siro Vasthi

Medicated lukewarm herbal oil is poured into a cap fitted on the head. This treatment is highly effective for facial paralysis, Migraine, dryness of nostrils, mouth and throat, severe headaches and other Vata- related diseases. Also effective for the loss of tactile sense, facial paralysis, speech difficulties, insomnia and nervous disorders.

Kati Vasthi

Kati Vasthi In this process specially prepared warm medicated oil is kept over the lower back with a tank prepared with herbal powder paste. Specifically for low back pain, lumbago and degenerative vertebral diseases, disc prolapse etc.

Ela Kizhi

Ela Kizhi Small bags containing Herbal leaves are applied to the whole body in boluses heated with hot medicated oils. This treatment is for Osteo arthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Spondylosis, sports injuries etc.

5 types of Panchkarma for Body Detoxification

Vamana

Vamana is a procedure in which Doshas (waste products or toxins) are eliminated through upper channels i.e. mouth.[1] Specially the Kapha and Pitta Dosha brought to Amashaya (stomach and duodenum) from all over the body by the specific preoperative procedures and then eliminated out by inducing the emesis.

Virechana

During the procedure, the patient is subjected to Oleation first, then Fomentation, which is followed by Emisis and Samsarjana Karma (post operative). The internal Oleation is followed for three to seven days. Thereafter, a medicated steam bath is performed for three days.

Raktamokshan

Raktamokshana is an effective blood purification therapy, in which carefully controlled removal of small quantities of impure blood is conducted to neutralise accumulated toxins.

Nasyam

Nasyam (Errhine Therapy) is a very powerful rejuvenative Panchakarma therapy that involves administering of medicated herbal oils through the nose. It’s a method of Kalarichikilsa for treating illnesses related to the head region and impacts are wide-ranging.

Vasthi

Vasti treatment in panchakarma means expelling body toxins and vitiated doshas by introducing medicated liquids or oils through anus, urethra or vaginal canal. Medicated enemas are used for various specific reasons. In general, this treatment is used to flush the loosened doshas out through the intestinal tract.
